Who holds these officers accountable for breaking the law? Whenever you call the station to make such complaints you basically get laughed off the phone. Would reporting the incidents in a city council meeting do any good?

I guess a problem is that I don’t happen to carry around a video camera while I drive so I can’t record the events. But lets say I did happen to capture such violations on video tape would they even be taken seriously or would I get laughed out of the police station?

What steps need to be taken to hold these people accountable?
“Also, by law, police officers are authorized to violate traffic laws in the performance of their duties”. Yes that is true and I think no one has a problem with that. I know there are times though where Officers just violate these laws because they can and if they were to be taped they could just use that argument. I know every time I witness a police vehicle do such things that they are probably job related but no one can convince me or most people that every time they are job related because many times they are not. Come on…are there any officers on here that will admit to it? Its not like your going to get in trouble.
Besides I know former cops who will admit they have abused there power…I think it would be hard not to if your given a free pass everytime.

Peter SO excited. Christmas just two days away! Peter really wanted a toy ball. If he didn’t get any presents Peter would be crushed. Peter was SO excited that he ran into his little sister, Holly.
“Watch where you’re going. I want to look great for Santa, when he comes,” Holly said glaring at him. Holly had been brushing her hair for days. Holly really wanted a new bow!
“Oh be quiet. You are such a baby. I want a bow Mama. Will Santa bring me a bow. Whaaaaaaaa. B-A-B-Y. Baby,” Peter sneered.
“You are a jerk. Your lucky that I don’t punch you right NOW!” Holly shouted.
“You two stop quaurling. You two need to spend more time together. So go outside and play in the snow together.” Mama said.
“Oh but who would want to play with a baby. Holly’s nickname at school is Bawly Holly!” Peter whined.
“Well who would want to play with guy who has a big head! Loser,” Holly shouted at him.
“Stop it the both of you NOW!” Mother yelled. “ Go outside and play!” Both kids walked slowly outside. Peter then ran into Holly and knocked her off her feet. Holly began to cry.
“Crybaby,” Peter sneered.
Christmas finally came and Peter was SO excited, that he couldn’t fall asleep! Peter soon felt his eyelids start to close, slowly, slowly, until he was in darkness. But then he heard a noise on the roof. He scampered outside to see, see…SANTA!!! He had come, and look at all his toys! Peter ran inside, he tried to wake Holly but she was sound asleep. Peter then tried to wake up his Mama, but she told him to go back to sleep. Peter couldn’t believe it. The biggest moment in their entire lives, and Peter was the only one who will see it! Peter then heard a clunk, clank, clud. Then standing in his fireplace was Santa. He looked just like all the stories said. Red suit, red hat, and Peter could hear the reindeer outside, yes this was Santa. Santa looked to the left then the right, then he looked down. That is when Santa noticed Peter!
“Why hello there sonny. Have you been a good boy?” Santa asked a twinkle in his eye.
“I have! I have!” Peter shouted for joy. “ I clean up my toys. I take baths without whining, and brush my hair before Mama tells me! See I’m a good boy!” Santa looked at Holly sleeping soundly, then at Peter.
“How do you treat Holly?” Santa asked. Peter’s smile faded. If he lied Santa would defiantly give him coal.
“Not well, sir. I try to be a good brother, but she gets me mad. All she does is whine and cry!” Peter said looking down.
“Well sonny, you aren’t a pleasure either,” Santa said. The twinkle in his eye had been replaced with a sad look. “I don’t want to see you go on the naughty list Peter. So how about you prove to me that you are a good boy!”
Peter looked up right away! Santa was giving him a second chance!
“What do I do?” Peter said happily! He was getting another chance.
“I will rewind time. You have to be nice to your sister, or else no toys for you. I will take you back to the day before Christmas Eve. That’s where wrong will become right, and your sisters heart will be mended again,” with that said Santa wound his watch back, blew on the watch, turned around twice, clapped and he disappeared! Peter look around. Holly and Mama were gone out of there beds. The fireplace didn’t have a fire going. It was the day before Christmas Eve! Santa did give him another chance, all Peter had to do was make things right. Peter ran towards Holly, only to have his feet slip out from under nieth him, and hit right into Holly.

“Watch where your going. I want to look great for Santa, when he comes,” Holly said, fluffing out her fur. Peter was just about to snap back at her when he remembered Santa’s words: wrong will become right, and your sisters heart will be mended again. Peter couldn’t snap back.
“Sorry Holly. I didn’t mean to. Want me to help you fix your bow,” Peter said with a awkward smile. Peter never helped Holly do anything. All of a sudden he felt a burden come off of him. But only have of the problem was fixed He still had to mend Holly’s heart!
“You two go outside and play. It is such a great day. So go on get,” Mama said. Peter was about to protest, when he remembered: your sisters heart will be mended again. Peter had to play with her.
“Okay mama. Holly can I show you how to make a tunnel!” Peter pranced outside after Holly. He played with her till sunset, when Mama called them inside. Peter didn’t push or shove Holly at all. They had fun.
“Mama, we had so much fun. We made tunnels and played war and and ,” Holly was running out of breath. “Peter was nice. Thank you Peter.” Holly came up and kissed him on the check. Before Peter could respond everything paused. He heard a voice say “You are a good boy Peter.” Peter knew it was Santa. Then everything went black, and he felt himself being shaken. Was this Santa’s idea
I am not the best speller but I will edit some parts. I just realized I entered the old version. But it is still the same. Also, it is a story for little kids, that need short sentences to process the story better!
