I have a medium golden brown color for my hair right now, but I want to go a medium to dark red. What is the best brand of hair color for that? Meaning which one will last the longest (not fade) and have the most dramatic change. Serious answers only, please and experience is definately good!
I already have colored hair and I’ve gone red before, but it faded fast (that was about 2 years ago). So then what is the average cost for solons? I don’t want to spend too much.

Cool color high lights for red hair?

I’ve been looking on the internet, looking at pictures of different hairstyles. I have long hair but I’m going to get it cut so I can donate it to an organization called locks of love. If you don’t know what that is, they have a website. My hair is going to be a about 2 or 3 inches off my shoulders. I think I finally decided how I’m going to get it cut but now I’m thinking if I should put some color into it. My hair is a dark orange red and I don’t know what color would look best w/ it. I don’t want to die my hair completely. I just want a few streaks or so. I thought about purple but I have a friend who died her hair kinda a red purple color and she wanted to die the ends of her hair a bright purple. I don’t want to get purple ’cause I don’t want to seem like I’m copying her. I don’t want blue or blonde either. I was thinking of black but that might be to dark for my skin. If anyone has any suggestions or picture of people w/ red hair and streaks of color in their hair. Plz help.

it always turns more red everytime? no matter what color what do i do I want my hair to go from dark brown to maybe very goldy brown/blond …or to a light brown!

Hair Color Help! How to get copper-y red go turn more golden?

I have thicker ethnic hair and it was HARD to get it to lighten at all. I had use to a booster to get the color to show. My hair started off really dark (probably was dark brown, but it looked black).
4 CommentsI used a permanent dye in a lighter auburn hue, hoping it would come out more golden brown wit the booster. But the booster (which I had to use to get the dye to work) worked too well, and then color went up to a copper red! Not real bright, but it’s a brassy copper red. The roots didn’t get as light and are a darker tone.
The thing is, the color is not really ugly or unflattering, and I know I’m not supposed to mess with it too much when you use permanent dye, but I really needed a more golden hue because I’m doing hair extensions in a week.
So, could someone who knows, please give me advice on what I can do to bring the copper red tone to a more golden hue? It doesn’t have to be darker, just more in the golden/brown family.

I was also wondering if there is a certain color of hair rinse I can put over it, just over the lighter parts that will help it turn goldish?

I have always read articles about males preferring one hair color on women, and vice versa. What hair color are you attracted to and why? I also read that some prefer one color when looking for a “good time”, and then another hair color when they are thinking more long term . . . is it true for you?

I am looking for a good picture of a hair color I want to show my stylist. The color I want is basically mahogany… a lighter brown (but DEFINITELY not any blond) with a hint of red in the background. I don’t want the red to dominate. It’s kind of a Sophia Bush or Leighton Meesly but lighter brown. HELP!
