I have a poison ivy bush near my house steps that i accidently brushed against about 2 days ago. i started to get red rashes on my hands/arms and now there is a mild reaction to it with little spots/rashes where stuff comes out; i have been trying to cover up the sores with bandaids but they keep falling off and i dont have money right now to buy gauze pads/etc. should i stop by my medical center to get them properly bandaged? would they even take care of it? maybe if i go there, they’ll just tell me to go away and wait til it goes away on its own-i dont want to seem stupid. its mild, but it looks terrible and stuff keep coming out on all of the little spots….sheesh. my dad said dont rub them cuz i could get an infection. i am a young adult and i live by myself.

What in the world could this be thats spreading to the humans in the house lol?! We’ve never had anything like this happen with our dogs and we don’t have the money right now to go get all of them seen about. Has anyone ever heard of this before or had it happen to them? Please help soon!

My hair is naturally an ash blonde. I have been dying it an auburn red for a few years now. I really would like to get it back to blonde, but I don’tt have the money to get it done at a salon. Is there any safe way to do this at home without ruining my hair?

I called a premium rate number yesterday and forgot to press the red button on the phone to hang up, but I did, however, put the phone back in its cradle and it made its usual beep sound. When I went to make a call this morning there was still a series of number on the phone - does this mean I was still being charged for the call 12 hours later?

Please help, I feel sick thinking about all that money.

Well today on the bus these b*tchy eight graders were pushing everyone around and forced this kid into a seat with 3 other people. Well he was standing and looking out the window, and he had his elbow close to my friends head. she asked him to stop nicely. i asked him to stop nicely. he started being all “OOPs my hand is in your face!” and teasing us and stuff, so I took his hat. I threw it at the kid in the seat in front of me and it went over his head out the window. I felt so bad. The kid started like crying, and I said sorry and even offered to buy him a new hat! he would decline my offer. Then the b*tchy eight grader got all into it and started teasing me and being mean, so i felt even worse! the whole bus ride home i offered to get him a new hat but he said no. all the kids were teasing him D= it was so terrible, and not only my pain but his was my fault too! On my way off he told me I owed him 30$. 30$ for a red socks hat? you can get that for 5! But sadly I have NO money, and I can’t go anywhere to buy him a new hat, and I do not know what to do! I have a red red socks hat I could give him but I doubt he would accept it. WHAT DO I DO??

Is there such a breed as a “Red Nose Pit?”
Around here it seems to be the most desired dog, I dunno if it’s a redneck thing or just a thing with the lower class in general *that may be stereotyping, but every stereotype has a base and people that truly live it, and around here the stereotypical are everywhere* I say lower class because this is a small town, and not in a quaint sense of the words. It’s small because there’s no work, those that make the good money either comute or are drugdealers, it’s neither opinion nor stereotype. But everyone seems to either have or want a “red nose pit” and I can’t for the life of me find any sort of breed standard online, which leads me to beleive it isn’t a breed any more than a calico cat.
I haven’t seen a full grown “red nose” in person, but a friend of mine had a puppy around 6months old and it was cute as a button, but I think that of most of the “pit bull” breeds, but then they grow up and things change.
Anyways, does anybody know?
The first answer posted gave a website of a breeder, not a breed standard. There is nowhere that I can find that lists rednose pit as a breed. Breeders will sometimes say whatever it takes to make a sale.
As for what was said about pits being euthanized upon arrival at shelters, that’s a load. Have you been to a shelter recently? Have you noted the fact that normally the majority of dogs and pups for adoption are “pit” mixes, and the ones that aren’t listed as having pits in them deffinantly have the appearance of them?
Yeah, they’re so putdown on arrival at the shelters.
And pits can be great dogs, but there are bad breeders that breed for DOGagressive behavior and many, many bad owners that beat the dogs and make them mean because that’s how they want them. Knowledge is powerful, but so is ignorance. Look at how many people think pits are bad dogs? Even a few days ago I thought that way, but things can change.
Um, in the general direction of fightingpit, people are most often ignorant through missinformation, which is not near as bad as being egnorance due to plugging your ears and going “LALALA, CAN’T HEAR YOU!!!”
Most of the people on this site getting horrible answers from people calling them ignorant and stupid and such don’t take into account the difference between the two kinds of ignorance. It’s very true, those who refuse to see are far more blind than those who can’t. It’s paraphrased, but the messege is the same.
I’ve been hit royally hard for asking a question I didn’t know was wrong, people telling me that I don’t deserve to own dogs and blah blah blah. Brutal honesty is different than telling someone they’re an inhumane idiot for not knowing. That’s like saying that a baby giving someone the finger is horribly wrong because you know that it is. Does a two month old know right and wrong? No, but their is a lot more to say about ignorance and how you’re ignorant to your own.
To avoid being called stupid, I hit a wrong key in typing and in no way think ignorance is spelled with an e.

It is a Dell Latitude D600 running Windows XP Home edition sp2.

The battery had started off seemingly well, while unplugged it stated that it had 4hours of battery life. I had it on without the charger being plugged in for maybe 20min before it died and shut off. Confused, I had tried to charge it again, only to have it shut off as soon as the charger was unplugged. THEN I decided that maybe the battery was bad, so I bought a new one AND IT STILL DOES THE SAME THING. So figuring it might be the charger, I removed the battery and plugged in the charger then turned the computer on. The computer was able to stay on with only the charger and no battery.

Now when I have the battery in the computer and the charger plugged in, the battery light flashes red on and off…can anyone tell me what I need to do/buy? I don’t want to spend more money on a new charger if that isn’t the problem…
